SIA Sustainability Charter

SnowSports Industries America (SIA) has consistently been a leader in working to move the industry toward a more sustainable future and reduce its environmental impacts. We have long recognized that being good stewards of the planet not only protects the vital resource, our natural environment, on which our industry depends, it is also the right thing to do for our collective future. From our trade shows to initiatives that engage our members in greening their own retail operations and distribution and manufacturing processes, we continue to drive the snow sports industry forward toward better environmental stewardship and greater sustainability.

This sustainability charter, the first ever for SIA, provides a road map and guiding principles for our environmental stewardship and sustainability efforts. It inspires us to be leaders by managing our operations and creating products in a way that demonstrates our commitment to environmental stewardship while exceeding the expectations of our consumers and the general public. While our members represent a diverse group of retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and sales representatives with unique products, company cultures, and local conditions, the principles in this charter embody a collective step in demonstrating our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability. Working together, SIA will continue to be a leader in working toward a more sustainable world.
