Overview/History

SnowSports Industries America (SIA) is the national not-for-profit, North American member-owned trade association representing suppliers of consumer snow sports with constituents in the retailer, rep and resort communities. Established in 1954, SIA annually produces the SIA Snow Show, the largest snow sports industry trade show and networking environment globally, while delivering invaluable data/research, support, marketing products, government affairs representation, services and programs.

SIA works collectively with all components of the snow sports industry; our members - alpine, snowboard, AT, telemark, cross country, snowshoe, apparel and accessories companies, retailers, reps, resorts, regional and national associations and Buying Groups. Guidance from these different sectors of the industry make SIA what it is today, an organization representative of suppliers, retailers and reps all with the goal of promoting the growth and development of snow sports.

We work to achieve this goal by leveraging our members’ brands with the promotion of their products at the SIA Snow Show, in the media and through consumer outreach programs; getting more people on snow more often and making sure they are properly equipped and dressed to give them the best experience of snow sports.

Mission Statement

SnowSports Industries America is a not-for-profit member owned trade association whereby competing product and service suppliers work together for the development and growth of the snow sports industry.

In support of this, SIA is committed to:

• Managing and operating trade shows and/or other solutions to assist our members in bringing their products to market.
• Providing programs, services and information that will assist members in improving their business operations.
• Working together with reps, retailers, resorts and other entities for the development of the snow sports industry
• Promoting awareness and participation in snow sports
