Darkside Snowboards - Killington, VT

The fall of 1989, Billy and Teeta Langlands, opened the Darkside,  a small core snowboard shop in Killington, Vermont.  The first Darkside Snowboard shop featured black walls , purple fixtures and a seven foot ceiling in the retail area.  Today twenty five years later , Darkside  has three locations in the Green Mountains of Vermont and is still the core snowboard shop on the East Coast.

Satellite Boardshop - Boulder, CO

Satellite Boardshop opened in 2002 by JG Mazzotta and Raul Pinto to cater to the largely growing skateboard and snowboard cultures. Shortly after in 2005 Installation Shoe Gallery opened to cater to a growing sneaker collector population. Both shops, now 11 and 8 years old respectively, have become staples of not only Boulder, but also Colorado and the national stage of small retailers in core action sports and boutique retail.

Buckman's Ski Shops began in 1971 with our first ski shop opening in Perkiomenville, PA. Known for great customer service and quality products, we quickly became one of the area's leading ski shops. Buckman's has 42 years of experience with more than 350 employees in our six retail stores across suburban Philadelphia, carrying the largest inventory of ski/snowboard merchandise and rental equipment in the state of PA.

Les Moise - Mequon, WI The The store was originally owned by Lester Moise and was a hunting/fishing store.  Our father, Clem, worked for him and eventually bought the business from him.  He turned the focus into skiing (which was taking off in those days), moved the store from downtown Milwaukee to Whitefish Bay and it has been successful for many decades.

Enjoying our 24th year of business, Snowboard Connection’s goal has been the same from the beginning: to get you outside and having fun, on quality gear at a price you can afford. SnoCon opened in October 1990 in a 1,000 square foot space in Seattle, Washington.

Alpine Ski Shop - Sterling, VA

Alpine Ski Shop was the brainchild of long time Washington, DC native Eddie Bunch, when in 1971 he turned his passion for the sport of skiing into a successful retail business serving the metropolitan area.  The shop began in a small A-frame building in Vienna, VA and not long after was moved to a larger store to better meet the demands of the customer base.  This was an untapped niche market, before the days of larger mass sporting goods retailers.

Outdoors Inc. - Memphis, TN

Outdoors Inc. was founded in 1974 when Joe Royer and Lawrence Migliara combined their two paddling businesses, West Tennessee White Water Supply and South Central Canoe Base, into The Great Outdoors. At the time, Joe and Lawrence were avid paddlers and racers who could not find performance outdoor equipment in Memphis. The first retail location opened in the spring of 1974. During the first few years of business, Joe and Lawrence concentrated on selling performance paddling equipment.
