K.I.D.S. LogoK.I.D.S. (Kids In Distressed Situations) is a New York-based organization uniquely situated to help the snow sports industry efficiently target it's clothing donations to children affected by Hurricane Sandy.

“At the time when donations for Sandy Relief were slowing down after the holidays, we thought that was the time we could make the most impact,” said Mary Brennan of Spyder,a company that partnered with SIA to organize the relief effort.  “We found out about K.I.D.S. and knew we could work with the organization and SIA to give children nice warm clothes for the winter months ahead. We’ve called the program New Year, New Start Sandy Relief, because many people are rebuilding and putting their lives back together.”

The outpour of support and donations from the snow sports community has grossed more than 5,000 lbs. of new children’s winter apparel donations collected at the New Year, New Start Sandy Relief donation center in Denver, Colorado. Donations will be distributed in New York and New Jersey in the coming weeks.

Thank you to all of the companies and retailers that have helped the Sandy victims get the warm clothes they need.
