Winter Trails

Launched in 1995, Winter Trails continues to be one of the industry’s largest demos designed to bring newcomers into snow sports. Since its inception, the program has attracted more than 100,000 children and adults.

Winter Trails offers those new to snow sports an opportunity to try snowshoeing and/or cross country skiing FREE on a specific day at nearly 100 locations in the U.S. and Canada. Winter Trails is set for January 10, 2009 except at Estes Park, CO when the event is scheduled for February 14, 2009.

SIA partners with the Cross Country Ski Areas Association (CCSAA), the American Hiking Society (AHS), the Canadian Ski Council (CSC) and the National Snow Industry Association (NSIA) to bring Winter Trails to thousands of consumers each year. Retail involvement is encouraged.
