Broc grew up in Duluth, Minnesota. While attending the University of Minnesota Duluth, Broc started his career in the ski industry working at the Ski Hut. At that time he also conducted junior race camps and developed a children’s ski program.
After graduating from UMD, Broc moved to Chicago to work for the Kastle Ski Company. In 1973 he moved to East Lansing, Michigan to become an independent rep. and started B.W. Johnson & Associates. Soon after he co-founded the Athletes Shop, athletic footwear stores in East Lansing and Ann Arbor, MI.
Broc was active in organizing the Midwest Rep Association and is a former board member and past president.
He currently resides in northern Michigan with his wife Lynne and has two grown children, Chad and Lindsey. His interests include skiing, hunting, kayaking, and golf.
