The entire business model for Descente serves that effort. In 2000, Descente added the DNA brand to address the youthful crossover for ski and snowboard. In 2004, Descente lead the way in establishing a ski industry hub in Ogden, Utah, where now 13 key snow sports brands are co-located at the base of numerous world-class ski resorts. Also, in 2004, Descente initiated a powerful, industry-wide effort to transform the internet into a potent specialty retail support vehicle. Descente’s on-going efforts and initiatives will continue to focus on providing premier outerwear to premier ski shops in such a way that supports specialty retailers and the overall health of the Snow Sports industry.
