I grew up in a small town in central Minnesota. I attended college at the University of Minnesota Crookston, where I first discovered snowboarding. From that time on I was focused on working in the winter sports industry.
After UMC, I moved to Minneapolis and started a part time job at Hoigaard’s selling winter sports equipment. That opportunity turned into a full time position where I sold alpine skis, snowboards and custom fit ski boots. In the off season I sold bicycles and cycling equipment. Finally, I became the snowboard buyer for Hoigaard’s.
In 1994, I began working for Rossignol, as an independent snowboard representative, responsible for the Great Lakes Territory. In 2005, I formed an Agency representing the Rossignol’s Alpine, Nordic, Snowboard and Apparel collections.
Working in the winter sport industry has given me the pleasure of meeting and working with many great people – retailers, suppliers, consumers, and athletes. I am truly grateful for your friendship, counsel and business.
I would like to thank the retailers and suppliers for all their support. I’m very grateful to receive this award.
Between starting with Rossignol and forming his Agency, Tim married Erin DeVine. When the snow is not falling, he enjoys golfing and riding motorcycles.
