Tom Newhard

I was lucky enough to have a father that loves winter sports and the mountains. So, though I was born in Ohio, I really grew up skiing all of my winters in Colorado. Beyond my earlier years, I competed in the Rocky Mountain Division in cross country ski racing throughout high school and also competed on recreational downhill teams during that time as well.

After high school, I attended Cal Poly University-San Luis Obispo, graduated in Industrial Engineering and then moved north to the Bay Area. During that time I worked as a construction manager, bartender, real estate appraiser and computer supplies sales rep from 1988-1994. I enjoyed where I lived and worked in Marin County, but couldn’t escape my want to get back to the mountains.

In 1994, I began my career in Snowsports/Outdoor sales in Northern California/Northern Nevada. I am now lucky enough to live in Lake Tahoe and travel in an incredibly beautiful territory. To be able to spend my time in Northern California/Northern Nevada and enjoy the mountains, valley and coast cannot be beat.

I am so privileged to work with all of the accounts and lines that I represent. It has truly been a great experience for all of these years and I look forward to what is ahead.

I would like to thank all the accounts/retailers that considered me worthy of this award.

Tom currently represents Wigwam Mills, Inc., Smith Optics, Olukai, Terramar Sports, Sunbelt, and Global Surf Industries.
