New surf and snowboard shop Aegir Boardworks, the first of its kind in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood, is preparing to open its doors in April at 99 Water Street—the location of a formerly barren loading dock that has been converted by Two Trees property management company. The new shop is co-owned by Peter Frolich and Shaun Tangen. Here’s some additional information:

(Brooklyn, NY) – Two Trees Management Company has bolstered its roster of local, independently owned businesses in Brooklyn — bringing in three exciting new retail tenants to the company’s revitalized One Main Street property in DUMBO, company officials announced today.

With the addition of café and bakeshop One Girl Cookies, a locally sourced restaurant from the team behind Colonie in Brooklyn Heights, and surf and snowboard shop Aegir Boardworks, Two Trees has added to its track record of being an incubator for innovators of many stripes in DUMBO and New York City.

“Two Trees has always prided itself on being a facilitator for the growth of innovative and original companies in New York City,” said Caroline Pardo, ManagingDirector for Two Trees Management Company. “With these three new tenants, we have kept true to this tradition and look forward to these companies contributing to the community as all of our tenants do.

Two Trees’ newest tenants will occupy three unique spaces within the recently converted One Main Street property. One Girl Cookies’ 1,400 square foot space sits on the corner of One Main Street; now 33 Main St. The team behind Colonie will be opening a restaurant in DUMBO with a new 1,700 square foot home at 15 Main St. Aegir Boardworks will be moving to a newly converted 1,000 square foot retail space that was formerly a barren loading dock. Located near the waterfront,Aegir’s official address is 99 Water St.

“There isn’t a more perfect place for a company like ours to flourish than in DUMBO,” said Peter Frolich, Co-owner of Aegir Boardworks, a surf and snow retail and service business. His partner, Shaun Tangen, agrees. “Two Trees has provided us with a fantastic new home here and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this new generation of Brooklyn-based businesses.”
