Powder Poll voting opens October 1 at PowderAwards.com with prize giveaway
San Clemente, CA (September 17, 2013) — The 14th Annual Powder Awards returns to Utah to celebrate the best in cinematography, photography, and athletic achievement. The two-day event will kick off the evening of December 6, 2013, at The Depot in downtown Salt Lake City. Highlighting the best ski films and athletes of the year, the event also showcases readers’ favorite skiers with the annual Powder Poll, which has been modified this year with an expert panel that will pre-select 20 men and 10 women to aid the reader for the Powder Poll prize giveaway.
Voting for the Powder Poll opens October 1 at PowderAwards.com and runs through December 1, 2013. After votes are submitted, readers will enter a lottery for a chance to win VIP tickets to the event and POWDER swag. Additionally, during the first four-weeks that voting is open, POWDER will do a weekly giveaway that includes GoPro Hero3 cameras and two tickets to the 14th Annual Powder Awards.
One of the biggest nights in skiing, the Powder Awards attract a who’s who of the industry, including professional skiers, ski legends, ski film production crews, industry brands, media, and celebrities.
The premier awards show in skiing, the 14th annual event expands beyond the celebration of the show with an on-hill gathering the following day. The Morning After kicks off Saturday, December 7, with a full day of activities, giving skiers and fans alike the opportunity to get close and personal with their favorite athletes. Hosted by Snowbird Ski Resort, the event is open to the public taking place on the ‘Bird’s plaza deck near the tram, with food, drinks, music, athlete signings and an encore showing of the previous nights festivities.
