Lake Tahoe, CA (March 15, 2011) — Effective immediately, John Pierce has been promoted to National Sales Manager. Pierce will be responsible for expanding BEARPAW Footwear’s business opportunities throughout the United States and strengthen their relationships with their current retail roster.
Pierce will assume the responsibilities and take over control of their outside rep force as well begin building an inside sales team. “With John’s extensive retail background, both on the buying and sales side, it was an easy decision,” commented Randy McKinley, Vice President-Sales & Marketing. “He’ll quickly get acquainted with our National and Strategic Accounts and raise the bar as we continue to grow.”
Everyone at BEARPAW is excited about the restructuring and dedicated focus Pierce will be able to provide considering the growth the brand has experienced. “My time with BEARPAW has been very exciting and I look forward to the challenges ahead. We see tremendous opportunity for growth as we introduce new collections and categories,” said Pierce.
Pierce, who graduated from Texas Tech University, started his twenty-year footwear career at Foot Locker and has worked with JCPENNEY, AND1, and PONY. “John’s been great, he came in and took the time to engross himself with our brand and culture first and has been instrumental in opening new accounts and has challenged us all from an expectations standpoint. He’s going to be great,” said CEO-Owner, Tom Romeo.
