MORE SNOWMAKING AND MORE FREE PARKING
Copper Mountain, CO (April 16, 2010) — You Deserve a Snow Day at Copper and to make sure of it, Copper will bring more of it earlier, with more snowmaking for the 2010-2011 season. With the planned snowmaking increases, Copper anticipates better early season coverage for race camps, training, and all those skiers and riders who just can’t wait to get on the slopes in November. This 25% increase in snowmaking capacity will be spread throughout the mountain, with new systems being installed in the Timberline area, adding significant intermediate terrain.
Next winter at Copper, guests can spend their Snow Days on the snow, instead of searching for a parking spot, with a 40% increase in FREE parking in an expanded Corn Lot. For beginner skiers and riders, these boots aren’t made for walking, they’re made for riding! Additional parking in Union Creek will add easy access to the beginner area of Copper’s naturally divided terrain.Access to Ski and Ride School programs will be a snap for the kiddos, with a much improved arrival experience in Union Creek and The Schoolhouse. To paraphrase Billy Ocean, Copper is making it easier to get out of your car and into your dreams!
The improvements won’t end in 2011, according to Copper Mountain President and General Manager Gary Rodgers, “the focus on infrastructure enhancements sets the stage for future on mountain improvements,” not to mention the future Snow Days.

Copper Mountain knows there are skiers and riders out there who have never felt the thrill of waking up and hearing on the radio that school was cancelled. There are people who have never spent a whole day in the snow doing anything their heart desired. No joke. These people, and those who understand snow day bliss, are the reason we do what we do. So come to Copper to take a day, or two or seven and experience the mountain. Welcome everybody, to the home of the snow day. For up-to-date weather, photos and more visit www.coppercolorado.com.
