Copper Mountain, CO (March 25, 2009) — 16 inches of snow in 2 days – The recent snowstorm has dumped 16 inches of fresh snow on Copper’s slopes in the past 48 hours. Eleven inches have fallen in the past 24 hours and the best part is – more is expected all week. Make fresh tracks on 2465 acres of skiing and riding terrain at Copper Copper is 100% open with a 74″ upper mountain base.
Free Cat Skiing on Tucker Mountain open Copper’s free Snowcat rides to legendary Tucker Mountain are the essence of skiing and riding liberty: catching a free ride, choosing your own line and never wiping the smile off your face. Terrain is accessible by hiking, a free Snowcat ride or a combination of both. Snowcat access is on a first-come, first served basis. Snowcats run from 10:00 a.m. 1:30 p.m. daily, weather permitting. Snowcat operations, terrain openings and conditions may vary and are subject to change based on weather. Tucker Mountain closes at 2 p.m.
