Layton, UT (December 27, 2011) — DNA today announced that they have inked a sponsorship deal with Teton Gravity Research (TGR) for the company’s 2012 film.
The sponsorship deal marks the second year of collaboration for the two companies. DNA was a sponsor of TGR’s 2011 release, “One for the Road”.
“TGR puts out a great product,” said Brook Barney, head of marketing for DNA. “‘One for the Road’ was such a success for all involved, that we were excited to get onboard again for the 2012 film.”
Appearing in the as yet unnamed film will be longtime DNA athlete Erik Roner. The big mountain skier, regarded as one of the innovators of ski BASE jumping, will make his ninth appearance in a TGR film.
“We are excited to grow the relationship with DNA this year,” said Steve Jones of TGR. “DNA has supported the freeride ski movement since the beginning and continues to be a leader in the industry.”
Established in 2000 to address the unique style of a new generation of skiers, DNA was an early leader in the newschool ski movement. For over a decade, DNA has supported the new ski culture through its sponsorship and support of athletes and film ventures.
Headquartered in Layton, Utah, the DNA staff’s love of the mountains and mountain sports provides the foundation for DNA’s philosophy: outerwear that has no boundaries. That philosophy, coupled with parent company, Descente Ltd’s excellence in the fields of textiles, design and cutting-edge development results in a product built to conquer any terrain.
