Mt. Airy, NC (January 14, 2015) — For Fall 15, Farm to Feet, makers of 100% American socks, is introducing an innovative collection of socks featuring a layered knit technology that provides ultimate comfort while reducing bulk designed for wintersports enthusiasts. “Skiers are very particular about their socksthat has made our socks so popular, plus some added twists to improve fit and reduce bulk inside the boot.”
The Farm to Farm to Feet has employed a layered design construction coupled to create cushioning and durability zones that are anatomically designed to target key impact areas and optimize weight while increasing durability and comfort.
The Jackson is an ultralight sock with no cushioning designed for the racer or expert skier who demands performance and prefers the thinnest sock possible to optimize feel and response within their boot. The Jackson is flat knit with friction free nylon resulting in a minimalistic sock that easily slides into tight fitting, stiff boots. Additionally, to create its clean graphical design Farm to Feet used a drop out knitting technique that helped to further reduce the sock’s weight. The Jackson is offered in a men’s and women’s model. MSRP- $19
The collection includes four lightweight styles, including the men’s and women’s Waitsfield (MSRP- $23) and women’s Sugar Mountain (MSRP- $24) and Alpine Meadows (MSRP- $24). Each style features half-density cushioning targeted at the heel and shin to provide comfort without additional bulk. Below the cushioned shin area is a mesh section in the anterior ankle area to reduce bunching and bulk inside boots. The outer graphical designs are layered over the yarns next to skin, as opposed to the traditional method of having them knit into them, creating in a very clean interior and an improved fit.
The men’s and women’s Park City (MSRP- $26) is a medium weight sock designed for skiers, snowboarders, and wintersports enthusiasts who desire warmth and comfort without sacrificing performance. The Park City is very similar to the lightweight styles, but with full density cushioning zones in the toe, heel, and shin areas and half density cushioning in the calf.
Each sock features the construction principles common in all Farm to Feet socks including a seamless toe closures, a comfort compression fit from the top through the arch, and superior cushioning for ultimate performance and comfort.
