Fernie, BC (December 3, 2009) — Fernie Alpine Resort is ready to open for the season with the most snowfall in 34 yrs! Daily operations commence this Saturday Dec. 5, 2009. Alpine conditions are fantastic with over a 6ft of settled snow base in the 5 alpine bowls. With more snow in the forecast for the weekend, skiing and snowboarding will be AMAZING at Fernie Alpine Resort!

All main lifts will be operating (with the exception of the Deer Chair) including:

Timber Bowl Express

White Pass Quad

Great Bear Express Quad

Elk Quad

Boomerang Chair

Haul-Back T-Bar

Mighty Moose & Mini-Moose operations are still to be determined.
