WHY: The SIA Snow Show is bringing more than 19,000 delegates to the Mile High City for the world’s largest snow sports tradeshow. The second year of an 11 year booking, the show brings $30 million of economic impact to Denver. Surrounding the show, running from Jan. 25-30, is “Mile High Snowfest,” a citywide celebration of all things snow with more than 30 events and activities for locals and visitors, including the first-ever Denver Big Air Competition.
VISUALS: Governor Hickenlooper and Mayor Vidal will be dressed in snow sports attire as they “ring” in the opening day of Snow Show with cowbells, following a European snow sports tradition.
TV crews and photographers will be able to photograph the dramatic entrance of 19,000 delegates entering the show floor. The tradeshow is not open to the general public; however media will be able to enter the show floor following the press conference for dramatic shots of 321,000 sq. ft. of snow sports gear and equipment.
