Boulder, CO (January 25, 2010) — Neve Designs introduces their newest line of sweaters and accessories with new, improved fit, innovative pattern designs, updated color palettes, and sleek styling. The line stays true to the look of the brand, while updating sweaters with attention to the details. Behind the fresh Fall 2010 Collection is new Design Director, Carol Gantos.
Gantos updated the classic Neve fit with defined lines and proportions for a more flattering and styled look for the brand’s active lifestyle customer. “The attention to improving our fit speaks to our increased awareness of who our customers are, and what they want and expect from us,” says Gantos.
Neve introduces new groups to their collection with a variety of yarn choices, unique detailing and styling. The new Meribel Group consists of playful pieces in vibrant colors that reflect a youthful sensibility. Made with a cotton/wool blend, Neve aims to offer these styles at a more competitive price point.
Also new to the 2010 line is the Fashion Group, intended to launch Neve’s success beyond the ski/sport industry; Neve will benefit from designer Gantos’ background in the fashion industry to achieve this goal. “Scalloped detailing makes a solid style pretty a new interpretation of the ski sweater for our Neve girl,” Gantos remarks. An empire waist dress redefines the silhouette, accessories gain their own identity in ruffled shawls, and longer coat-length knits will complement the boot trend this upcoming season.
Fresh new color combinations bark with wave, sapphire with limon, and grape with aqua, to name a few add dimension and enhance patterns throughout the collection, supplementing more classic Neve colors and rich pairings. Jacquard patterns on small and large scale, animal-print motifs, and engineered pattern placement represent just some of the new pattern combinations.
Neve continues to expand their accessory collection, adding women’s socks to the Fall 2010 line. Created in partnership with Goodhew, the socks coordinate with selected sweater patterns and colors. They are manufactured with a merino/bamboo blend, with the attention to fit, comfort, and durability characteristic of the Goodhew brand.
Neve’s men’s line is highlighted by soft cardigans with leather zip pulls, plaited lambswool, and masculine pullovers with the same attention to quality and fit as seen in the women’s line. The new collection includes both traditional and contemporary styles in a rich color palette, including new blue spruce and emerald.
For the first time, Neve also introduces jewelry to the brand’s collection. Necklaces are artisan-crafted and created locally in Boulder, with sterling silver ski-themed charms on deer hide leather cord. This hand-craftsmanship is also employed in details like brushed pewter belt buckles, zipper pulls, and draw cords. These additions, along with details like mother-of-pearl buttons and horn toggles, exemplify the thoughtful touches characteristic of the brand.
“Neve’s Fall and Winter 2010 Collection is perfection for life in the mountains but expands elegantly for life in the city” says Jennifer Tille, Manager of Sourcing and Marketing. “We feel proud of these timeless additions to our brand’s collection.”
