Phoenix Blue Casting To Offer “First Ever” Live Streaming Of Event 2PM Today (1/19/10)
Atlanta, GA (January 19, 2010) — The new year has kept Errol Kerr quite busy. Not even a month into 2010, the Jamaica Ski Team’s (JST) sole member has competed in three international skier cross events in Austria and France. On January 19-20, 2010, Kerr will compete in the RockStar Skier Cross Grand Prix at Canada’s Blue Mountain Resort.
“There are a lot of races before the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver,” said Kerr. “We completed three in Europe and are very excited to be at Blue Mountain for the RockStar Skier Cross Grand Prix.” The RockStar Skier Cross event serves as the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) inaugural event for Southern Ontario. The event is one of more than 20 FIS Freestyle World Cup events hosted worldwide from December through March.
Besides offering a great skier cross course and the opportunity to compete against world class athletes, a highlight of this Canadian trip will be the opportunity to meet Jamaica Consul General George Ramocan. It will be an honor to meet such a distinguished leader,” added Kerr.
In spite of a hectic schedule, Kerr will talk to local Canadian and Jamaican youth online about his journey from the slopes of Northern California to world-class competitor. “Thanks to support of my family, the nation of Jamaica, the National Brotherhood of Skiers and other organizations, I now have an opportunity to pursue my dreams. I hope I can encourage the youth to work hard for their own dreams, regardless of whether they involve ski slopes,” said Kerr.
