Sweden (April 18, 2008) — At the world cup finals in Verbier, our world record holder (242.59 km/h) Sanna Tidstrand won the last competition in the World Cup, taking home the total World Cup!
Sanna who also won the world championships last season has won most of the competitions in the WC during the season. Sanna has demonstrated for some time now that she is the best female speed skier in the world. She is the fastest woman in history.
“Of course, it was great winning the title! I had such high hopes before the season, but then I had a really slow start. Also, this year the competition has been much tougher since Karine Dubouchet and a few other girls are back in the game. It felt great to show them how it’s done! The crystal cup will look nice on the shelf back home! =)”
I am already looking forward to next season. The World Championships in Vars will be a great start and perhaps I will do some Skier X as well!
Thanks to POC it was possible for me to totally focus on the skiing which is crucial to be able to make it in this sport. My partnership with POC has been great! ” says Sanna.
“We are really impressed by Sanna and the results she keeps delivering! She is astonishing! We are so proud to be a part of her crusade!” Stefan Ytterborn, CEO, POC
