Salt Lake City, UT (June 9, 2014) — SCOTT Sports announced that they will be the new official footwear sponsor of the Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay presented by Maverik, a 196.5 mile relay race that starts in Logan, Utah and ends in Park City.
SCOTT Sports started their running shoe line in 2006 and continues to grow and expand the brand presence by partnering up with events such as Ragnar and the 2014 Skyrunner World Series. Outfitting top ranking international running athletes and creating a product with passion and technology makes SCOTT a leading global niche running brand.
“We are thrilled to have a local company like SCOTT partner with us here at Ragnar,” said Chris Infurchia, CEO of Ragnar. “Their passion for high quality products makes them a great resource for our runners as the official footwear sponsor for the Wasatch Back Relay.”
“There’s no better way to connect with the local Utah running community than through events like Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back. Our running motto is Measure Life in Strides and there is no better way to do that than by overcoming a challenge with a team of people that you never thought was possible. We are very excited to put our names on this event and continue to build our name here in Utah,” said USA Marketing Director Nic Sims.
In the Ragnar Relay Series, teams of 12 run a 200-mile relay over two days and one night. These Ragnar events bring thousands of people together to create lasting memories, friendships and an unforgettable challenge that many thought wasn’t possible.
