Washington, DC (December. 23, 2013) — More and more ski and snowboard areas are announcing their plans for Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month in January, 2014. Last year, more than 153,000 children and adults took lessons from professional instructors in January alone when many special reduced rate programs are offered. Eaglecrest Ski Area has a number of specially prices classes and programs for Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month any weekday in January for $44 including a lesson, equipment rental, & a lower mountain lift ticket. It’s a $10 savings on the regular price. The Triple Play Learners Pack costs $119 for three days of lessons, equipment rentals, & lower mountain lift tickets.
The ski area is offering a Classic Nordic class on January 4 with a follow up Nordic series starting Jan. 11. Other programs in January include Women’s First Tracks ski and snowboard workshops and Learn to Adapt – Adaptive Ski/Snowboard Awareness Day. Visit skijuneau.com for details.
Mt Bachelor’s Ski or Ride In 5 is a 5 visit program that includes: ·5 lesson packages with a ski or snowboard rental and Learning Zone beginner lift ticket, reserved close-in parking privileges in the Sunrise Lodge lot, and ski or snowboard instruction by one of Mt. Bachelor’s hand-picked instructors. The cost is $199 for anyone 6 years and older. Those who complete the program receive ‘Graduation Presents’ including a special pass product outlined good for the rest of this season and discounts on full season passes for two more years!Pre-registration is required. Participants can begin their 5-lesson program any time after January 2, 2012 and have until March 25, 2012 to complete the last session. Details about Mt. Mt Hood Meadows is offering a 2 for 1 learn-to-ski special through December and, for January, will have its $75 learn to ski or snowboard package for those ages 13 and older. It includes: a beginner lift pass for the Wonder Carpet enclosed conveyer and Buttercup beginner lift, a 2-hour lesson, and equipment rental. Participants can upgrade to a two-hour afternoon lesson for an additional $20.
Mt Hood Meadow’s 3-Time Learn to Ski and Snowboard Passport can be purchased at the resort for $139. It includes the first two days on the beginner lift, a 2-hour lesson and equipment rental. The third day includes an all mountain lift, 2-hour lesson and equipment rentals. Details are availabl
