San Diego, CA (February 18, 2015) — After making the fish taco famous as the public relations rep for Rubio’s Home of the Fish Taco for nearly 20 years, PR innovator John Brice combined his award-winning PR skills with his love for skiing and created Snow Sports PR, which recently added Ruby Mountains Heli-Experience (RMH) and its new Ruby Mountains Backcountry Yurt to its growing roster of clients.
RMH owner and founder, Joe Royer, selected Snow Sports PR to raise awareness for his heli-ski operations and the new yurt, which recently opened at 9,700 feet in Northeastern Nevada at the top of Conrad Creek.
A great option for backcountry touring trips, the yurt offers easily accessible terrain, solar powered energy for lights and charging electronics, wi-fi, a propane stove, as well as a separate weather port structure for cooking. With jaw dropping views, the yurt is currently priced at $850 per day, which includes a snow cat ride to the yurt, guide service, and the lodging facilities. Groups of 4+ people are ideal for the Ruby yurt, which can be booked at 775-753-6867 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Royer is the lead guide and has more winter guiding experience in the Ruby Mountains than anyone else, period. He was a long-standing president of the Heli-Ski U.S. Association, and began working in avalanche control at Snowbird ski area in 1971. Certified by the American Mountain Guides Association, Royer is a highly respected winter mountain guide and the longtime owner and operator of RMH, America’s longest continuously owned heli-skiing and guide service (founded 1977). The Ruby Mountains Backcountry Yurt is now part of RMH, and Royer brings to the new yurt program decades of experience with the most authoritative snow-science groups, including: American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education, American Avalanche Institute, American Avalanche Association, International Snow Science Workshop, and Heli-Ski U.S. Association.
