WHAT: Showcasing its premium HD point-of-view video camera the Action Cam Sony brings innovative technology and live entertainment to the SnowSports Industries America show floor. Sony’s industry-leading image quality can now be found in an ultra-compact, wearable camera for action sports filming in premium full HD 1080p. Weighing in at approximately three ounces, with battery and built-in Wi-Fi, the new Action Cam (HDR-AS15) is the perfect shooting solution for shredding the mountain. The POV cam offers five video modes to capture all the glory, with a class-exclusive 4x slow mode in 720p HD; advanced image stabilization; an ultra-wide angle lens with a 170-degree wide field view; Interval Still Recording mode for photo capture; and many more features. It ships with adhesive mounts and a ruggedized waterproof case featuring a universal tripod mount, built to handle extreme environments – waterproof down to 197 feet with shock resistance, plus dirt and dust resistant seals. Beyond the adhesive mounts to secure Action Cam easily to flat and curved surfaces, Sony will offer a suite of mounting attachments to suit all types of active pursuits. These will also be on display.
Additionally, Pavement Music recording artists, Hell Or Highwater, will perform a special acoustic set with a sneak peak at tracks from their new album, “Begin Again,” available February 5, 2013 in North America through MRI/RED. Sony Action Cams, along with a pair of tickets to the band’s Denver concert with The Darkness, will be raffled off at the event.

Hell or Highwater is an American rock band from Orange County, California. The band was founded by Brandon Saller best known from the metalcore band Atreyu. While his main band is on a self-imposed hiatus, Saller is staying busy and creatively stimulated with Hell or Highwater. The band layed some ground work this past summer as part of the UPROAR Festival and will start a U.S. tour with The Darkness on January 10th.
