Thousands Celebrate World Snowboard Day in 37 Countries


Capbreton, France (December 20, 2010) — We will long remember the 5th edition of the World Snowboard Day. Last Sunday, December 19th, 2010, thousands of snowboard lovers celebrated the World Snowboard Day worldwide.

Nearly 150 free events were held in 37 countries to enable the general public discover snowboarding as a sport and culture. Snowboarders of all ages had the opportunity to enjoy many free activities such as snowboard initiations, demos, competitions, product testing, concerts and parties A celebration day during which snowboarder lovers gathered to have fun, or simply share their passion with each other. An event that would not have taken place without the mobilization of the whole international snowboard community (clubs, shops, schools, federations ) as well as EuroSIMA, the WSF, and the Outdoor Sports Valley.

The latter would like to thank all the partners and local organizers that contributed to the success of the World Snowboard Day 2010. Each year, more and more people are involved in this event, proving the international and community dimension of snowboarding.
