Band’s appearance on network’s daily show supports new release.
Los Angeles, CA (January 8, 2009) – FUEL TV, the 24/7 action sports lifestyle network, is pleased to announce that the indie rock sensation Vampire Weekend will be featured as the house band for the entire week on “The Daily Habit” starting January 11, 2010. During the performances, the band will play four songs off its new album Contra and one fan favorite from its debut self-titled album. The appearance on FUEL TV supports the release of the band’s new CD, Contra, hitting stores January 12, 2010.
“We’ve been fans of Vampire Weekend since they first burst onto the scene, and to have them perform on The Daily Habit’ for the first time as a house band for a week is very special,” says Daryl Berg, FUEL TV Director, Music Supervision and Licensing. “People will be excited to hear the new songs off the album they’re all great!”
The Vampire Weekend performances will air on “The Daily Habit” the week of January 11, 2010. Look for the band to perform its new single “Cousins,” as well as “White Sky,” “California English” and “Holiday” off the new album Contra. Vampire Weekend will also play first-album favorite “A-Punk” during the week.
