Capbreton, France (November 30, 2011) — The countdown has begun! In less than one month thousands of snowboarders will get together across the world’s summits for the 6th edition of World Snowboard Day. If it’s not already done, mark Sunday, December 18th, 2011, on your calendars and come discover, for free, the thrill of snowboarding and share your passion for sliding on snow.
Although the snow has yet to arrive in some corners of the globe, we guarantee that this new edition of World Snowboard Day will be as amazing as each previous edition. There are already 112 events in 31 countries! Whether you’re in North America, Europe, Russia, Asia or South Africa, there will be an event nearby so that you can celebrate World Snowboard Day!
Whatever your destination, event organizers have brewed up an unbelievable program for you: free lessons for newcomers, contests, demonstrations, equipment tests, film viewings, barbecues, parties and concerts, all in a festive, warm and welcoming atmosphere!
Created by EuroSIMA, the WSF, and Outdoor Sports Valley, World Snowboard Day successfully passes snowboard fever on to a maximum number of people each and every year. As of last year they have linked forces with two additional very important partners, SnowSports Industries America (SIA) and Core Power Asia, in order to reinforce World Snowboard Day’s presence in North America and Asia. The goal is to offer everyone the opportunity to participate in this one-of-a-kind day in order to discover (for free!) the joys of snowboarding.
To get a taste of the crazy day that awaits, here is the new teaser for this 6th edition!
