06-07 Canadian Retailer of the Year

The 06.07 SIA Canadian SnowSports Retailer of the Year Award was presented to 6 retail shops in the Canadian province regions – Alberta, Atlantic, British Columbia, Manitoba/Saskatchewan, Ontario and Quebec. The awards presentation was held at the SIA.07 SnowSports Trade Show in Las Vegas, January 23.

The SIA SnowSports Retailer of the Year Award is based upon a shop's contribution to the growth of skiing, its promotional and marketing techniques, and its success in the ski, snowboard, tele, Nordic and/or snowshoe marketplace. The award winners were nominated and selected by suppliers and reps in the snow sports industry.

SIA thanks each of these shops for their commitment to the snow sports industry in 2006. The 07.08 SIA Canadian SnowSports Retailers of the Year will be announced at the SIA.08 SnowSports Trade Show, January 29 – February 1, 2008.

ALBERTA

Ski Cellar Snowboard | Calgary, Alberta
Founded in 1946 – currently in its 60th year of operation. Currently the store operates 3 locations and employees over 75 staff.

ATLANTIC

Ballistic Skate & Snow | St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador
Ballistic Skate and Snow opened its doors in June of 1995. The owner, Lorne Loder was the only employee and the store occupied a space of only 750 sq ft.
