Viking Ski Shop has been in business since 1966 at its original location, selling ski and snowboard equipment, apparel, accessories and services. Viking Ski Shop operates as a “brick and mortar” store only.

Viking believes deeply in commitments to its customers, to its community, and to skiing and snowboarding. Viking is proud to have received a Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics from the Better Business Bureau of Chicago and Northern Illinois in 2002.

Viking is very active with local ski clubs and schools, and is the sole sponsor of the Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council’s club race program. Viking also continues to be the nation’s largest supporter of Donate-a-ski/ Donate-a-Board, collecting over 6,000 pounds of used equipment and clothing during the fall of 2005.
