Meg Olenick has competed in X Games the last 4 out of 5 years, placing in the top 5 two of those years. She was named to the US Freeskiing team in 2011. Olenick has been fortunate to create a life traveling the world with her friends doing what she loves, and to Olenick that’s a big accomplishment in itself. She’s one of a few athletes on the US Ski/Snowboard teamsthat has a college degree.
Off the mountain, she spent two and a half weeks in Kenya with Bonyo’s Kenya Mission (BKM) this summer. BKM is dedicated to improving the lives and healthcare of individuals residing in rural parts of Western Kenya. Meg sponsors a 5 year-old girl, Lenza, from a small village to help ensure her a future full of opportunities. She fell in love with the people and culture of Kenya and plans on being involved in this amazing program for many years to come and hope to travel back to Kenya within the year.
