I just got back from a trip to Chicago – which included a visit to the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Among their many current exhibits was one called “Homebodies.” “Homebodies” is a collection of installations that focus on artists’ interpretations of what a home represents to each of them.
This exhibit was interesting to me because I could see it working as a window display. It has the elements I love – peg board, clamps and fabric swatches – everyday items that are easy to source. Interpret this vignette in your own way – either as a back-to-school display or have fun matching fabric swatches to work with new fall outerwear color stories. Get in touch with your inner artist and have some fun with this creative idea!
