Choosing the right tools for building your brand reputation with social media.

The 2012 SIA Snow Show provided both entertainment and education. Along with many social events to choose from, SIA also provided a full line-up of free seminars and clinics for all Show attendees. One of our presenters, Lynn Switanowski, president of Creative Business Consulting Group, presented seminars on social media trends and how to connect with your consumers using different social media outlets.

In the seminar, Online – All the Time, Lynn discussed how to establish and maximize your online presence via social media in order to engage customers and build your brand reputation. She showcased how to extend your brand across multiple social web tools and help you learn how to strategically maximize opportunities without compromising content and communications with your customers.

“For suppliers today, social media tools can and should be part of a successful marketing programming. Learning where your consumers are spending time online is the first key to your success,” said Lynn Switanowski. “Session attendees learned how build their brands using online tools and the benefits of specific social media tools for their business.”

Having a website or a static Facebook page isn’t enough to connect consumers with your business today. Businesses must surround consumers today and create branded online destinations such as a blog, LinkedIn profile, YouTube channel, Flickr profile that are all integrated and help to deliver marketing messages. The goal for suppliers today is to present content in various places and ways – where consumers and potential customers can interact with your brand – where they are.
