Winter is slowly, but surely on its way. Time to start fantasizing about the newest and greatest of next season’s ski gear, and getting ready to rock the mountains again. The Ski Channel is proud to share a special sneak peek with you of the SIA Snow Show, the largest snow sports trade show globally.
Get excited for next season’s glimpse into the future of ski technology at the SIA Snow Show 2013:
Over 20,000 snow fanatics from all over gather in the beautiful Denver, Colorado to get their first impressions of next season’s hottest trends and innovations on and off the snow, brought to you by SnowSports Industries America (SIA).
The SIA Snow Fashion & Trends Show for the 2012-13 season included styles from big-name snow brands, including Oakley, Skullcandy, Spyder, Head, Dakine, Smith, and Burton. People also tried out the newest skis and snowboards with extra fat tips, widths and rocker technologies while taking a look at the latest styles that will take you from slope to street and get you stoked for all of the snow bound to dump upon us in the future.
The trendiest of next season’s snow apparel was featured up on the catwalk in the SIA Snow Fashion & Trends Show, giving skiers and riders the perfect opportunity to start out their season in style.
“The Ski Channel’s coverage of the SIA Snow Show is about as close as consumers can get to attending the annual trade-only event. Seeing it all again, makes me really excited for what will be available this season — there’s some amazing technology and fashion heading to retail in the months ahead that will make everyone’s time on the hill more fun,” said David Ingemie, SIA’s president.
Along with the newest fashion, comes the newest technology that will rock your world on the slopes. The 2012 SIA Snow Convention featured ABS compatible backpacks by Dakine with airbags to prevent one from being completely buried in an avalanche, Ion goggles that take high quality picture and video, and, of course, gloves that work with your iPhone, forever curing the frozen hand when you get a phone call on the chairlift.
After four days of observing and talking about skis and snowboards, it is absolutely necessary that everyone tries them out on the snow as well. The SIA Snow Show is the only convention with an on snow demo. During the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest, retailers and media test the gear they just previewed, including ski, snowboard, AT, telemark and backcountry products.
