What is a targeted move in date/time? And when can I move in?
For a show as large as SIA, in order to get all exhibit materials delivered to every booth in a timely manner, a targeted floor plan is created. This target allows an orderly flow of materials based on floor positioning while preventing “log jams” on the trade show floor.
All exhibitors are assigned a target date and time. This information is sent to your company by early December. Your target move in slot is the earliest your company can begin the set up of your exhibit.

When will my crates be at my booth at the end of the show?
Before any crates are returned ALL aisle carpet must be removed from the trade show floor. After the aisle carpet is removed, GES begins delivering boxes, cartons, cases and crates to the exhibit booths. This process begins immediately at 3 PM, the official close of the show, and continues until everything is returned to all exhibitors. This process typically lasts until midnight or later if there is poor weather.

Where do I go to find my boxes/crates?
If you are missing boxes and/or crates, go directly to the GES Exhibitor Service Center on the trade show floor. They have all information on what was received by them either on site or in advance of the show.

Do I have to hire Union Labor to build my booth? How will I know how much labor will cost?
Las Vegas has always been and still remains one of the more liberal convention cities with respect to the enforcement of Union regulations as they pertain to the installation and dismantling of exhibits and material handling in convention centers. Teamsters Local Union #631 has jurisdiction through a labor agreement for the erection, touch-up painting, dismantling and repair of all exhibits when persons other than your full time personnel are needed to do this work.
If full time company personnel are utilized to set up an exhibit, they should carry positive company identification, such as medical ID card or payroll stubs.
The cost is per hour based on the standard Union Labor wages for Las Vegas.

Why can’t I bring in my own materials and boxes?
You can bring in your own boxes and materials, provided that you can hand carry them in the designated hand carry doors. Please note the following restrictions:

- All hand-carried materials must be carried by only one person at a time, not two or more;
- No exhibitor is permitted access to the loading dock/freight door areas;
- The exhibitor’s vehicle cannot violate parking restrictions at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
