Klaus Obermeyer founded Sport Obermeyer in 1947, when he was among one of the first ski instructors on Aspen Mountain.

Back then, clothing was at best cumbersome and restrictive. Klaus’ determination to keep the earliest waves of recreational skiers warm and dry, gave birth to a score of industry firsts – including the down parka, the duo construction ski boot, the turtleneck sweater and high altitude sunscreen.

Today Sport Obermeyer clothing is engineered to meet the harsh demands of winter. Their leading-edge performance clothing is designed to increase comfort.
