Selling The Backcountry Responsibly

Last March, after the sudden closure of resorts due to COVID, followed by multiple snow storms, participants were looking for other options to get on snow. The backcountry became very crowded, touring gear sold out, there were too many accidents, and some resorts like Aspen opened partially for uphill skiing. Listen to what the panelists’ are planning for this coming winter in regards to selling backcountry gear, educating the public on backcountry protocols, and the benefits of uphill policies at resorts. Hear from an avi center, a brand, two retailers and a ski resort about how they are selling, recreating and educating consumers on how to enjoy the backcountry responsibly.
